Yoga Pose of the Day!
The yoga pose for today is... dun dun dun.... Half Spinal Twist!! I think this pose is great for really stretching your back and it is even said that it improves digestion which is awesome.. who wouldn't want to do that! It is a basic pose so anyone can do it, and you can pretty much do it anywhere you want. http://www.abc-of-yoga.com/yogapractice/halfspinaltwist.asp <------ this website right here offers a great explanation on how to preform this move and it even has little animations which I thought was pretty cool as well. Also, I did some other exploring on this website and I found it to be really informative and useful. It has tabs for buying yoga equipment and like a forum that explains frequently asked questions. Well, try out the pose and help digestion!

Quick Start Yoga!
I understand that many of you are slightly experienced in yoga, have a lot of experience or have absolutely no experience in yoga. Sometimes, it can be intimidating walking into a class when you have no idea what you are doing or you are shy and don't know how to exactly fit right in. In doing some research, I gathered a little information on what you can do to "jump start" your yoga routine and feel like you fit right in. At about.com there is an interesting tidbit on 30 day quick start yoga which I thought was really interesting. (yoga.about.com) I think that this website is okay in terms of getting you started but I think it did offer a great list of things to keep in mind if you are taking a class. If you would rather stay at home and do yoga rather than going to a class, (which could be a lot cheaper and you might feel more comfortable) try out the Bikram videos. I know there is a beginning yoga video that they offer which is about $14.00 on Amazon.com. Check it out!

Boulder Yoga!
Hello Everyone,
So I myself spend a lot of time in Boulder doing various different things during the summer. I've always wanted to do a yoga class when I'm down there but didn't really know where to start because, well, Boulder is one of the most popular places for yoga I'd have to say. I looked up one really interesting yoga studio called "Om Time" and it really stood out amongst the 1,000s of yoga studios in Boulder. It's headlined in several magazines and gives full descriptions of the types of classes they offer. The website is omtime.com, so check it out and see what you think. They offer probably the most variety out of any yoga studio I've researched but then again it is in Boulder; making it a little bit of a drive. If you're ever down there, check it out!

Loveland Yoga!
Hello Everyone!
So I did some research on places to go for yoga in Loveland. One of the first sites that came up was Loveland Yoga and Core Fitness. The website is sort of funky, (www.lovelandyogacorefitness.com) but it was easy to navigate where the yoga schedule was. It looks like they have a few different teachers, Amy, Jasmine, Christi, Kevin and Jennifer. The class times range from about 9:00-9:15 AM to the last class being at around 7:00 to 8:30 PM. It also looks like they have some other stuff there like nutrition guides and personal training sessions. It is located at 100 E. 3rd St. in Loveland. Also, there was a few other yoga places like "Om Mountain Yoga & Meditation Center" and "Leslie at Lotus Place" but there sites are a little hard to navigate so I'll just have to go check it out myself. I have never been to any of these studios so I cannot give you my personal opinion. But, if you live in Loveland you should check it out!

Pugs do yoga too!
Hello bloggers! Well... The picture proves even animals like to do yoga too. Oscar, a very loved pug is meditating quietly under the tree. Oscar can be found almost daily outside "meditating" by the small Buddha statue. Hahaha. Anyways! Hope you guys are checking out some yoga places that I've posted about and I'll probably post a few more places to check out! Maybe I'll go search around for some places in loveland for you people who live closer to that area! I'm not too familiar with Loveland but hopefully I'll be able to find something! So, all you yoga people, get your stretchy pants on and scoot into child's pose! Have a great week!

Yoga Attire
There is some really awesome places to get yoga attire, but I have found my favorite brand to be of the name "lucy." All of the stuff I have from lucy is so incredibly comfortable and you can wear it for yoga or you can wear it out as regular clothing. It's really stretchy and breathable, perfect for any type of exercise. The only bad thing is it is a tad pricy, however I have found some really awesome stuff on the sales rack or the sale part of the website. Lucy has really cute headbands too:) Another one of my favorite places to get yoga clothing is Prana. Both lucy and prana have stores in boulder but they both have websites too. Prana is just awesome, also a little expensive. But you are getting what you pay for. It is good quality and will last you forever. Both places are great so check em' out!
